Controls
- Phone: drag to aim, release to fire. Tap for a quick shot. Double-tap to dash. Put your left thumb down on the left side to move; let go and your hero dodges on his own.
- Desktop: hold and release the mouse to fire, click for a quick shot, Space to dash, WASD to move.
- While you aim, time slows down a little so you can line up the perfect bank shot.
Bank shots
Every bounce makes a shot stronger. Shots through several robots in a row chain together for big points and extra coins. Shield bots block shots from the front: hit them from the side or bank behind them. Tanks are armored in front too.
Stars
Each battle gives up to three stars: one for winning, one for losing at most one heart, and one for beating the par time. Stars unlock the next battle and first clears pay bonus coins.
The Armory
Spend coins on weapons (Pulse, Trishot, Volt, Boom, Rail Lance, Nova Storm), on upgrades for Power, Ricochet and Fire rate, and on Gear that works with every weapon: Armor, Lucky Shot, Thrusters and Coin Magnet. New weapons keep your best upgrades. Your power score shows how ready you are for the next stage.
The Forge
Upgrades past level 3 take time to forge, from a few minutes to many hours later on. Come back when they are ready, use Forge Hammers to finish early (one hammer skips an hour), or add a second and third forge to upgrade in parallel.
Continues from kingdom 15
From kingdom 15 the battles are built so even a full squad gets knocked out. Get back up with a Continue: the first is 0.5 NHB (10 ZNHB) and each one after it in the same battle costs twice as much. Tap Call for backup and a friend who opens your link gets you up for free, and you get one free Continue every day. Kingdom 20, the Eternal Throne, also needs 10 banners: friends who fought beside you or backed you, or War Banners.
Squads and mercenaries
Palaces in kingdoms 4, 6, 8 and 10 and every palace from kingdom 11 need a squad, and so does battle 3 from kingdom 15. Tap Invite a friend and share the link, or hire mercenaries: Storm Realm mercenaries carry Nova Storms. A real friend is always stronger.
Boosts
Shield Charms start a battle with extra hearts, Second Wind gets you back up after a knockout, Power Surge starts you with two powers. Arm them in the Market and they are used one per battle.
